چکیده
Abstract The demand for miniature components has been growing steadily in recent years. One of the most important technologies to produce such small is micro-milling. Although technology highly researched, there are still many difficulties due size reduction, which makes finite element simulation, as well exploration cutting process challenging. aim research was investigate micro-milling process, especially those features, that can be measured very complicated sizes at experiments, temperature, and stresses, by means simulation. results show temperatures smaller than case conventional machining, moreover, stresses do not significant changes during edge impact. Finally, were validated experimental through comparing force components, shows a good agreement.

Finite Element Analysis of Hardened Steel Cutting
Hard machining, as attractive replacement for many rough and finish grinding operation, generates high cutting forces and temperature that enhance tool wear when act together. Therefore, the tool geometry and machining parameters have to be carefully optimized for a given material. Because of high cost and time consuming experimental work up-to-date advanced software for modeling and simulation...
متن کاملPrediction of Tool Life in End Milling of Hardened Steel AISI D2
Most published research works on the development of tool life model in machining of hardened steels have been mainly concerned with the turning process, whilst the milling process has received little attention due to the complexity of the process. Thus, the aim of present study is to develope a tool life model in end milling of hardened steel AISI D2 using PVD TiAlN coated carbide cutting tool....

In this paper, FEM modeling and simulation of orthogonal cutting of AISI 1045 steel is studied by using dynamics explicit Arbirary Lagrangian Eulerian method. The simulation model utilizes the advantages offered by ALE method in simulating plastic flow around the round edge of the cutting tool and eliminates the need for chip separation criteria. JohnsonCook work material model is used for elas...
